 Some teacher reflection questions

Q. Yvonne mentions a childhood where she was told visual stories by family through doodling and scribbling. Have you ever considered these to be a form of storytelling?

Q. Yvonne speaks about memories of being on the floor painting and drawing in primary school and ‘not having the feeling of anyone telling me to stop or hurry up’. Did this memory resonate with you? What comes to mind when you think about the joy Yvonne expresses when she thinks about that feeling of freedom to be creative?

Q. When speaking about the similarities between the disciplines of Science and Art, Yvonne highlights research saying ‘in both disciplines you need to have a basis for your work’. How do you go about your research? How do you ‘seek and decipher’ the information you gather?

Q. Yvonne mentions having three different size ‘notebooks’ as a ‘collection space’. One that sits in her pocket, one that sits in her bag, one that sits on her desk and another being the wall in her studio. How do you collect/gather?

Q. Yvonne speaks about the reflection process being continuous and her need to refine ideas. How do you go about refining your ideas? Is there certain steps you take to help you?

Q. The final piece of advise offered is in relation to feeding yourself. In what ways do you feed your creativity?
