Colm O’Regan is an award winning, critically acclaimed author comedian and broadcaster. As a standup comedian, he has performed all over the world and has featured on RTÉ’s Late Late Show and on Comedy Central. He has written and presents the multi-award winning RTE 1 Radio show Colm O’Regan Wants A Word since 2016. He is also the creator of the twitter phenomenon @irishmammies with over 200,000 followers.

He is the author of six best-selling books and writes a weekly column for the Irish Examiner. He recently started a new maths-based podcast called The Function Room available on all podcast platforms.

 
 

In our conversation, Colm tells us about how he got into comedy and broadcasting and how that has led to a wide and varied career. He discusses the phenomenon of Irish mammies and some of his favourite anecdotes that have led to the character of Ann Devine in his best-selling book series. Colm also discusses the power of storytelling and what success looks and feels like for him.
